  • JetRight Air Management – Director of Maintenance

    JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Maintenance plans, coordinates, and controls all
    maintenance operations, FAR 91 & FAR 135, for JetRight aircraft ensuring the highest
    aircraft dispatch reliability and availability in accordance with industry and company
    standards.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
     Member of Leadership Team in a dynamic, growing, aircraft management company
     Perform 135 Director of Maintenance functions for air carrier
     Perform Director of Maintenance function for non-air carrier aircraft
     Liaison with repair station
     Sustainment and supervision of aircraft maintenance programs ensuring
    maintenance performed on aircraft, engines, parts, and assemblies is adequately
    performed and in compliance with the applicable regulations and manufacturer’s
    recommendations
     Supervising and assisting maintenance personnel in the procedures, methods, and
    practices to be followed in each respective duty, and ensuring each maintenance
    person is adequately trained and qualified prior to assignment
     Ensuring work is performed in an acceptable manner and IAW Parts 43, 91, 135,
    and company operations manual(s) and maintenance procedures
     Inspecting the quality of the work performed on company aircraft by outside
    vendors either at home or away from home
     Exercising operational control over company aircraft with respect to aircraft
    maintenance. The Director of Maintenance may initiate, amend, and sign for
    Operations Specifications relating to aircraft maintenance
     Assuring required aircraft maintenance records are maintained in a current status,
    and that records meet the requirements of applicable regulations
     Maintaining a current file of Airworthiness Directives and Manufacturer’s Service
    Bulletins that apply to aircraft being operated
     Completing reports as required by Sections 135.415 and 135.417.
     Conducting periodic audits of various maintenance facilities and individuals to
    determine the acceptability of the facility or individual, to perform one-time or
    recurring maintenance on company aircraft.
     Responsible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting
     Develop and implement optimized maintenance schedules for aircraft
     Fosters and maintains current customer relationships
     Support operations, marketing and sales team(s) in business development efforts
     Acts as member of Quality Team supporting QSMS efforts
     Responsible for coordination of maintenance scheduling, inspection compliance,
    records documentation, and other tasks associated with aircraft management and
    operational support
     Responsible for risk mitigation/change management plan

    development/implementation
     On call duties as required
     Performs other duties as assigned
     Administer Minimum Equipment List with Director of Operations
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
     Degree in Business Aviation or equivalent industry experience
     Prior 135 Air Carrier experience
     Meets the requirements of 14 CFR 119.71(e)
     Considerable management experience and understanding of legal and financial
    issues related to aviation business administration
     Possess familiarity with industry standards, General Operating Manuals, General
    Maintenance Manuals, Technical Manuals, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
    (FARs), and Air Transport Association (ATA) coding
     FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P) license
     Outstanding organization, communication skills
     Strong computer skills
     Ability to work well under pressure
     Ability to work with personnel from all levels
     Authorized to work in the United States
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
     Ten (10) years of maintenance supervisory experience
     Five (5) or more years of Part 135 aircraft experience
     Highly knowledgeable in Company Manuals, Federal Aviation Regulations,
    Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manuals, and other documents and data
    pertaining to the duties listed above
     “10 or more” air carrier experience
     Experience in CAMP, FlightDocs and Avianis
     Experience in Quality and Safety Management Systems
     Experience managing business process improvement projects
     Experience with Rockefeller habits
     Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, Change Management, and Excellence Programs
     Experience in Bombardier Products
    KNOWLEDGE:
     Demonstrated supervision skills, motivation and direction of professional, technical,
    clerical and specialized personnel
     Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with
    the public, government officials, airport tenants, and stakeholders
     Knowledgeable in maintenance and repairs, software systems and business
    operations
     Skilled in monitoring, inspecting, troubleshooting, decision-making and
    communicating

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
     Standing/walking for short distances: up to two hours on hard surfaces.
     Sitting: up to six hours.
     Occasional travel
     Lifting/Carrying: occasionally, up to 20 pounds for up to 200 feet; rarely, up to 50
    pounds for up to 20 feet.
